Grand Island, NE – February 8, 2010 – This coming Thursday night, February 11^th, the College Fanz NAIA Basketball Game of the Week features a men's and women's hoops doubleheader as Rogers State University travels to meet Oklahoma Baptist University at the Mabee Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Both games will be broadcast live on http://www.collegefanz.com/.

The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) doubleheader tips-off with the women's contest at 6 p.m. Central Time/ 7 p.m. Eastern, followed by the men's game at approximately 8 p.m. Central / 9 p.m. Eastern.

The Rogers State Wildcats women's hoops team enters the week ranked #25 in the NAIA, with a 16-7 overall record and an 8-7 record in the SAC. This past Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats lost 68-62 to #7-ranked Oklahoma City. The Wildcats are paced by Jenny Hardin, a senior forward who averages 14.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

The first thoughts of the New Year!

** What's been the biggest surprise of the season thus far? It's close but I'd have to say that Robert Morris' fall from preseason #1 to just 9-8 currently has been a shock. Since they exploded on the national scene earlier this decade, Robert Morris has been in the thick of the national race yearly. It appears that player suspensions and injuries could prevent that from happing in 2010.

** As the calendar turns a page, let's take a look at each conference. Please note that my prediction for National Tournament bids are not what I think should happen, but what will happen.
